Child Care During Inclement Weather

Thanks to Mark Atwood, IHEPO members have an opportunity that may be beneficial to them during inclement weather.

Through initiative, perseverance and effort, Mark has made arrangements with Indian Hill Church for "day care" for children of IH teachers when IH is in school but other areas schools are not.  The minister at the church has agreed to open the doors and allow us to use their facilities which include rooms that could be used for play or study and a movie room.  Obviously, an adult will have to be present to supervise those children but that will be done on a rotating basis.  Mark will coordinate this supervision with the faculty members whose children will be participating.

This will allow more teachers to be at school with their students, a fun day for children to meet new friends and a reduced cost of substitute teachers to the district.  How great is this!  Mark connected with the community to make a difficult situation better for the faculty as well as the district.  Way to go Mark!!
